Attractions
Where can you start when listing the attractions of Columbus? There are so many that one page simply is not enough to do this modern vibrant city justice. You can enjoy sport, nature and museums within just a few miles of each other. What other place in your county offers such diversity and fun for you?
One of the best places to see the past in action is the Ohio historical center. From the earliest settlers, the native Americans, through the pioneers all the way to the modern people who live here today, this is a great way to put the past into perspective and see how things have changed and, just as interesting, how they have stayed the same. The good times roll in Columbus, as do the good old days. Enjoy your walk through history and don’t forget you’re still in the twenty first century.
Nearby to Columbus, many people visit the German Village. This is a great way to sample a traditional beer festival, eat some sauerkraut or wurst and enjoy a traditional bit of Bavarian folk music and lederhosen-based slap dancing. Why go to Cologne when you can come to Columbus? Why go to Oktoberfest when you can stay in Ohio. Enjoy yourself in this place and you will never want to say auf weidersehn to it.
COSI Columbus is also well worth a visit and you should go whether your interested in Science or not. The reason for this is that COSI is a hands on science center. You may no think that protons, photons, gravity and semi-permeable membranes are much fun but, once you’ve visited COSI, you’ll know that the opposite is true and you’ll love yourself for it. No more boring science lessons with balding, disinterested madmen for you. You’ll love this step into the wild world of science and so will your kids.
As well as this, Columbus has a zoo and plenty of fun restaurants, bars and clubs. You can also get out of the city at any time and visit the stunning local countryside, including rivers, plains, mountains and farmland.
